Reporting to the manager, Marketing & Commercial Development, this position works within the Commercial Development Section of Airports Division, which is part of the overall Headquarters Airports management activity. The position shares responsibility for managing and administering a lease portfolio of over 450 leases, licenses and other commercial agreements, which generate revenues of over $5 million per year. This position has the authority to execute commercial agreements to a maximum term of 5 years.  The position provides the proper framework for the responsible management and administration of aeronautical and non-aeronautical commercial activities at GNWT airports. It includes the drafting of licences, leases, memoranda of understanding , other contractual agreements, letters enforcing the terms and conditions of agreements, the development application process and their coordination and compliance with legislation, Departmental processes, and comprehensive real property development procedures. This position deals directly with tenants and clients on all issues, including contentious issues, related to the commercial development and leasing function. This work is performed through the application of legislation, policies, standards and procedures, to maintain the orderly conduct of commercial activities at the GNWT airports and to meet the needs to fit present and future airport clients and users. The commercial Agreements Coordinator is responsible for the management and administration of leases and other commercial agreement requirements for Airports Division’s substantial portfolio of properties. Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:  The level of knowledge required for this position is most commonly acquired through a Certified Leasing Officer (CLO) designation, plus 2 years of experience in commercial leasing, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial leasing or a lease compliance field. Equivalencies Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Salary Information The salary range for this position is from $38.98 per hour to $46.54 per hour (approximately $76,011 - $90,753.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,450.
