Part-time Studies

In addition to the full-time Airport Operations Diploma and the full-time Airline and Flight Operations (Commercial Pilot) Diploma, the Aviation Operations group also includes an Airport Operations Associate Certificate Program!

The main purpoose of the Associate Certificate is to provide people who are currently employed in the aviation field with opportunities to upgrade their technical and airport administration business skills. It will also be a benefit to those who are not currently employed by an airport, but are considering a career in airport operations. And, many of these part-time studies courses are also applicable to the full-time Airport Operations Diploma program.

The Certificate is made up of nine individual courses, with a focus on airport operations in such areas as security systems, airport master planning, airport safety, emergency preparedness and airport management practices.  Any of these courses may be put towards the Associate Certificate, r taken alone as your interest and time permits.

And you can continue your education as students requesting transfer to the full-time Airport Operations diploma program will be granted full credit for those courses taken and successfully completed through the part-time studies online Associate Certificate program.

The current available courses in the Associate Certificate are:
AIRC 1008 (Introduction to Safety Management Systems)

AIRC 1004 (Introduction to Airport and Airside Operations)
May 04 to July 13, online
