An internal steering committee was established to provide guidance and input into the roll-out of the U-Pass program at BCIT and includes representation from the Student Association, Education, Financial Services, ITS, Safety and Security, Enrolment Planning, and the Registrar's Office.
The U-Pass program will be available to students in full-time technology, degree, vocational, technical studies, and apprentice programs. and will be rolled out as follows:
- U-Pass will be available starting in September to full--time studies students who are registered into programs which start in the fall term (AVAO Class 15)
- U-Pass will be available to students who are registered into full-time studies program which started in the Winter or Spring term whose studies continue over into the fall term at the start of their next academic term when fees are assessed (this may be anytime between October and February 2012 depending on the program). (AVFO Class 10)
- U-Pass will not be available to students who started their final of a full-time studies program prior to the Fall term
- U-Pass will not be available to part-time studies students.
There is still a lot of work to be done before September and students will have questions about the program. Please check the website as tyour first source of information. The website will be continually updated over the course of the summer as we are able to confirm more details regarding the program.
