Pilots from all over are encouraged to fly in and show support for the Squamish Airport! We are trying to build awareness in the community of the importance of our Airport as a vital part of the community infrastructure and that the airport plays a significant role in emergency planning, especially when roads are washed out due to landslides, flooding, etc. We also want to show that the Airport Operators employ a significant amount of highly skilled Squamish residence in addition to being a welcome place for recreational aviation enthusiasts!
The public events are planned to occur between 11:00 AM - 15:00 P.M.. We anticipate a large number of aircraft will be available for viewing as static displays. Lets add your plane to the dispay too! The Airport will be open all day and aircraft will be flying in through out the day, with the majority expected to arrive prior to 11:00 AM and departing after 15:00 P.M..
