Canadian North requires a Coordinator, Cargo Planning to fill a temporary 6 month term position.
General: The Coordinator, Cargo Planning reports to the Director, Cargo for cargo operations. The position is responsible for developing a daily cargo movement plan for Canadian North Cargo.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-5 years related aviation or transportation cargo experience
• Cargo management experience, a strong asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to establish priorities and follow through to completion
• Ability to travel domestically, as required
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate lift capacity in all markets and assign aircraft type and configuration
• Preparation of daily operational reporting
• Actively participate in the company’s Safety Management Systems program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
• Oversee all aspects of the cargo training programs
• Maintain a training program auditing and recording system to ensure that all regulatory and company requirements are met
• Maintain the Cargo Operations Manual (COM) to ensure currency
• Maintain and distribute and conduct periodic reviews of policies and procedures for all Cargo Operations
• Communicate policies/procedures are communicated to all affected employees
• Monitor and administer functionality of cargo computer system (FreightPath)
