Central Mountain Air is looking to hire full time Type B Flight Dispatchers, based in the Head Office in Smithers BC.

Duties:
• Based in Head Office in Smithers, BC
• Responsible for flight planning
• Responsible for flight following
• Responsible for weather briefings
• Maintain effective communication between Flight Crew, Scheduling and Maintenance departments
• Other duties as required by the Chief Dispatcher and Operations Manager

The successful applicant should have the following:
• Completed the two Transport Canada exams (FDOPS and FDMET);
• Hold a valid radio license;
• At least 21 years old;
• Experience in the aviation industry and with flight operations preferred;
• Understanding of applicable regulations and standards necessary to carry out the duties of the position;
• The ability to work well under pressure;
• Strong and effective communication skills;
• Sound decision making skills;
• The desire to relocate to a small community;
• Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills;
• Strong computer skills (Internet, Excel, Word, Sabre, Skyplan);
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Strong reading, writing and comprehension in the English language;
