TAC Scholarships now available

The TAC Foundation is a volunteer organization at arm’s length from TAC, helping TAC achieve one of its key mandates in the area of human resource development of the Canadian transportation industry by providing:
• Undergraduate and graduate scholarships
• Internships and mentoring

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
In 2011, the Foundation awarded 46 scholarships with a total value of $164,500. Our donors have contributed $1.2 million to the Foundation.  Since the TAC Foundation began awarding scholarships in 2005, a total of 223 scholarships valuing $931,500 have been provided to 196 students (there were 27 repeat winners) at the graduate, undergraduate (university and college) and entrance level in transportation related disciplines.  Candidates must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants and must be enrolled in full-time studies for the full subsequent year at a Canadian post secondary institution (university or college) in a transportation program. They must have achieved an overall B average or equivalent average mark in their previous academic year. Undergraduates must be entering third or fourth year studies at university or college.
