Job Description:
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager Systems Operations Control. This position will work closely with the other SOCC personnel and will be the focal communications mechanism for the Customer Service Representatives, particularly during IROP situations, providing information and direction to Customer Service staff in a timely and concise manner. This position also manages the day to day Automated Passenger Information System (APIS) system ensuring accurate passenger information is being collected, screened, sent and that confirmation is received from various governmental agencies domestically and internationally.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinating Catering, Ramp and Customer Service operational activities
• Monitoring flights for schedule integrity and recommend changes to the SOCC Duty Officer
• Consolidating delay code information
• Responsible for accepting calls from the Call Centre and coordinating passenger preflight special requests with all departments
• Responsible for issuing and tracking vouchers and correspondence and letters to the passengers
• Uploading and cross referencing the watch list with the passenger manifests
• APIS/API reconciliation and communication with USA Homeland Security and Canadian Security; Tracking of same to avoid fines; Investigating DHS violations
• Preparing Gendecs for all trans-border flights
• Participation in the daily morning operations meetings
• During IROPs additional duties including: o Arranging and coordinating bussing requirements, o Anticipate delays, cancellations and assist in rebooking clients, o Moving passengers onto future flights during cancellations, o Develop information letters during delayed flights which can be distributed to Passengers, o Communicate and distribute IROP/operational messaging
• Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager, SOCC or designate
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Exceptional customer service communication and listening skills
• Airline operational background is preferred
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Experience with Navitaire and Sabre is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and provide direction to Porter staff as necessary
