Air North is currently recruiting Passenger Service Agents for the Vancouver International Airport Operation.

Job Description: PASSENGER SERVICE AGENTS
•Wage: $14.00 - $21.00
•Hours of Work: Full-time (24 – 40 hours/week)
•Location: Vancouver International Airport
•Closing Date: May 26, 2012

Passenger Service Agents are the first to welcome the passenger and must represent the company with an outstanding attitude. Ensuring all regulations and procedures are adhered too, this position will check-in, arrive and depart aircraft, and work with all of the Air North team to provide a premium product. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Processing (checking-in) passengers
•Assisting passengers on and off aircraft
•Assisting with the handling of irregular operations
•Ensuring on-time performance
•Strictly adhering to Transport Canada regulations
•Making announcements
•Answering general inquiries regarding flight or airport information
•Other related duties as required

Qualifications/Conditions of Employment
•Previous airline or customer service experience will be an asset
•Excellent customer service and communications skills
•Demonstrated ability to listen and understand our customer’s needs with empathy
•Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, high stress environment and under demanding time constraints
•Excellent organizational skills
•Basic accounting skills and/or experience processing payments
•Proven ability to work well in a team environment and be reliable with an excellent work ethic
•Strong competency in the English language, both oral and written
•Computer literacy-familiarity and experience within a Windows environment
•Able to work shift work which may include split shift, early mornings, late evenings, weekends, /holidays and overtime when required
•Clear Criminal record and ability to hold a Restricted Area Pass issued by Transport Canada
•Ability to handle and lift luggage up to 70lbs/32kgs
