The Vancouver Airport Authority has an opportunity
for a permanent, full-time Legal Counsel in the Legal Services Department.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Legal Services & Legal
Counsel, the successful candidate will:· Provide sound, timely advice on all aspects of commercial transactions
· Advise on a wide range of contractual matters including third party service contracts and transportation related issues, with a focus on purchasing, construction and procurement
· Assess risk management issues, as well as environmental, regulatory and airline industry issues
· Guide and oversee outside counsel
Key qualifications:
You are a savvy, business minded lawyer with:· 3 to 6 years of relevant experience at a corporate/commercial law firm or in-house legal department
· Strong analytical skills
· Customer service focused with the ability to proactively develop strong business relationships with a variety of stakeholders
· Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of projects at one time and balance conflicting priorities
· Experience in purchasing, construction and procurement a strong asset
