Scope of the Position
 The Flight Operations Station Operations Control (STOC) Coordinator will provide key customer service support and coordinate Flight Operations activities to ensure the integrity of Air Canada, Connector and Contract carrier operations. The position will report to the Flight Operations STOC Manager.
Key Function & Accountabilities
  • Compile and report daily performance and shift synopsis. Report incidents, irregular operations and other information that may warrant special attention.
  • Review trends with regard to operational issues.
  • Investigate reasons for all Flight Operations delays. Ensure recording of delays is correct and maintained.
  • Contact Flight Crew to determine causes of delays and other losses of efficiency.
  • Monitor on a continuous basis, the possibility of service disruptions to ensure preventative and/or corrective action is taken.
  • Provide support to the Flight Operations STOC Manager in all facets of the operation to ensure on-time performance for day of flight operations.
  • Investigate delays assigned to Flight Operations and challenge when necessary.
  • Monitor brake release times and actual push times to ensure accurate out times are recorded.
  • Monitor arrival times and brake set times to ensure accurate in times are recorded.
  • Monitor GPU and GHU connections to ensure APU usage at the gates is minimized.
  • Monitor Hawkeye traffic and ensure Hawkeye’s are responded to and issues addressed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EducationPost secondary degree or diploma with a focus in Aviation Studies.
Experience/Business Knowledge
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Able to adapt to constantly changing operational situations, and make quick decisions and under tight deadlines.
  • Proven problem-solving skills within a team environment
  • Goal oriented with a positive, creative approach to achieving objectives
  • Must be able to work day, evening and weekend shifts
  • Knowledge of radio work
  • Previous experience working in an airline operational environment is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of computer systems currently in use, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite
  • Linguistic Requirements
