Flair Air is a Canadian charter airline based out of Kelowna, BC. We operate contract and ad hoc passenger charters in Canada, USA, and internationally. We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team.The Operations Coordinator is responsible for a number of functions including, but not limited to: • Consistently monitor day-of operations dispatch and communicate IROPs or any changes to 3rd party handlers, dispatch, and/or maintenance control. • Consistently monitor day-of operations crew scheduling and crew report to ensure crew check-ins are adhered to, positioning flights are protected and all flights are properly crewed. • Answer, direct, resolve inbound crew or ground operations calls into the Operations Centre. • Receive, review and upload flight manifests into flight scheduling software (AvAIO). • Upload and transmit APIS and/or GENDEC as required. • Assist with controlling and assigning jump seat, FAM, or maintenance rides (on approval of the DFO or designate). • Coordinate In-Flight Services (catering) on a per flight basis. • Communicate Crew Scheduling changes to flight crews in a timely manner. • Investigate and code delays for all flights. • Compile and communicate Daily Operations Summary to Executive Team. • Assist with coordinating and building ad-hoc charter flights (ground handling, airport ppr’s, etc.). • Responsible to compile base supplier contact information and specific charter requirements into Crew Flight Briefs. • Reserve, change, cancel crew positioning flights, ground transportation or hotel accommodations as required. • Ensure Daily, Weekly and Monthly Operation Coordinator checklists are completed. We require that the successful candidate have the following qualifications, skills, and traits: • Previous aviation experience complimented by the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, ever changing environment. • Detail oriented individual with exceptional organization and time management skills. • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Strong decision making skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision • Strong computer skills with a high level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other custom aviation programs • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and obtain airport security clearance (security pass requires a 5 year traceable history, clear criminal record and Canadian citizenship or permanent resident card) • Ability to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays We prefer that the successful candidate have the following qualifications, skills, and traits: • Experience with tools and programs used in load and flight planning and aircraft performance • Experience in dealing with commercial/airline jet operations • Type A or B dispatch license or have written the Transport Canada Exams • Completion of an Aviation Management program • Fluency or writing ability in a second language The successful candidates will be based out of Kelowna, British Columbia.
