- Responding to reported operational situations and coordinating activities to mitigate impacts to the operations
- Assessing the execution of operational plans from the eyes of the passenger
- Coordinating terminal activities to ensure safe, secure, clean and efficient daily operations
- Responding to airport emergencies
- Secondary school education plus one to two years of post-secondary schooling, or equivalent experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- A strong understanding of the aviation industry, airport operational processes, customer care, aviation security, public safety and the key requirements listed above will be considered an asset
- Other requirements include:
- Determined and resilient team player who takes initiative
- Proven leadership skills, particularly in coordinating operational and emergency response activities
- Exceptional interpersonal, critical thinking, decision making, conflict resolution and customer service skills to enable the successful candidate to address operational issues in a professional and efficient manner
- Ability to do shift and weekend work is also required as Airport Operations is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card, Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s License (Aeronautic), and a YVR “D/A” Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) to perform his or her duties in this role
