Responsbilities:
- Supervision of unionized employees during loading and unloading of aircraft
- Continuous improvement of operating standards, promoting overall customer satisfaction
- Accountability for operational indices
- Auditing procedures and managing compliance
- Monitoring service failures and implementing corrective actions
- Interaction with various levels of the organization
- Interpretation and application of the collective agreement
- In-house training of employees
- Various other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•The ideal candidate will have experience in a unionized environment and proven experience managing a diverse work group
•A solid understanding of the global transportation network
•Strong organization, communication and problem solving skills
•The ability to coordinate a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in a deadline driven environment
•The ability to initiate deadlines and time frames for assignments and effectively complete follow-ups
•The ability to work with a variety of individuals across the organization
•Knowledge of ramp policies and procedures, including air side equipment and loading/unloading aircraft
•Experience in the air transportation industry considered an asset
