Skyplan Services is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated people to work in an exciting international aviation environment at our corporate headquarters in Calgary. Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Successfully passed the Transport Canada Generic Flight Dispatch Regulations and Meteorology Exams
- Hold a valid Air Operator Radio License
- Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
- Grade 12 education or recognized equivalent
- Able to work shifts (24/7/365)
Preferred candidates will have the following assets:
- FAA Dispatch license
- Flight Service Specialist or ATC experience
- Experience in a Flight Operations Department
- Customer service experience
- An understanding of aircraft and aviation related data
- Working knowledge of world geography.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrated success in multi tasking during high stress situations with minimal supervision
- Computer literate with strong typing skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preflight preparation and Flight Watch
- Develop, review, authorize, issue and revise operational flight plans for all flights as required
- Communicate with Air Traffic Control Services
- Technical support for our web based flight planning product
