TITLE: Scheduling Manager
REPORTS TO: Manager, Revenue Planning
DEPARTMENT: Commercial
LOCATION: MISSISSAUGA

SCOPE: Scheduling Manager reports to Manager, Revenue Planning. This position supports various route analyses by developing schedule scenarios in close coordination with the parent company with the overall objective of profitability, growth, and market position.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in developing long range network strategy to ensure most competitive and profitable network for Air Canada rouge;
• Develop alternate schedules in coordination with Air Canada mainline to study profitability by route and optimize deployment of aircraft resources;
• Closely coordinate the monthly schedules with Air Canada mainline Scheduling
• Identify aircraft utilization opportunities in order to maximize profit and minimize fixed costs;
• Coordinate line and heavy maintenance plan with mainline as well as Maintenance and Air Canada rouge Operations to ensure fleet availability to maximize revenue;
• Develop three to five year fleet deployment plan for planning and budgeting purposes
• Work closely with ACV to ensure their fleet and schedule needs are covered from season to season


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• A solid understanding of planning and scheduling concepts and methodologies;
• Knowledge of scheduling systems like PCAF/Airflite is a must
• Three (3) years experience in similar role or in comparable role with experience in planning and/or scheduling;
• A degree in Business or Operations preferred;
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively;
• Strong team spirit
• Analytical and solutions oriented
