Manager of
Planning
The Manager of Planning provides leadership, professional
knowledge and expertise to the Planning department. This person is ultimately
responsible for ensuring the accuracy of technical records is maintained and
that all maintenance and manufacturing performed is consistent with applicable
regulations and Standard Industry Practices.
Responsibilities:
Manage all maintenance and manufacturing
planning activities for Conair
• Develop planning processes;
• Ensure all
maintenance and manufacturing activities are performed consistent with
applicable regulations;
• Strive to continuously improve the delivery of
planning department support to the Maintenance department;
• Provide planning
support as needed to Conair subsidiaries worldwide;
Oversight and
management of the Planning department staff
• Responsible for hiring,
training, discipline and development of all staff in the Planning
department;
• Provide regular planning updates at the management
meetings;
In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, prepare and
monitor the annual Maintenance budget
• Provide accurate maintenance
projections based on past experience to accurately plan the maintenance budget
for the fiscal year;
Other related duties as required;
Our ideal
candidate will:
• have knowledge of Principles of Planning, including a sound
knowledge of Estimating, Production Planning and Project Management;
• have
demonstrated ability to build schedules to achieve production targets;
• have
above average supervisory skills;
• have advanced Excel skills;
• have
knowledge of aircraft technical records and documentation requirements;
•
familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles desired;
• have excellent
communication skills, both oral and written;
• have excellent ability to
speak and write in English;
• have demonstrated ability to gain employee
respect and influence change;
• have proven ability to balance multiple tasks
simultaneously;
Training & Education
• Demonstrated leadership
experience;
• Training in Project Management or Planning desired;
•
Previous experience in aircraft maintenance or maintenance planning;
•
Experience creating and administering training programs;
