We are currently looking for a Manager, Cabin Services (YUL) to add to our dynamic team.(Reference CJ678) Located at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and reporting to the Vice President of Cabin Services your responsibilities will include:


The Manager, Cabin Services is responsible for the, professional standards of the cabin crews under the VP, Cabin Services authority and in particular:
  • Manage and coach flight attendants including counselling and disciplinary;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Base Supervisors ensuring operational requirements and departmental objections/ initiatives are met;
  • Conduct performance evaluations on Base Supervisors as required;
  • Issue directives and notices to the Flight Attendants as required;
  • Action and distribute accident, incident, and other occurrence reports;
  • Oversee the completion of and distribution of internal reports
  • Co-ordinate with VP, Cabin Services in the development and/or amendments of Flight Attendant service standards;
  • Recruit Flight Attendants;
  • Manage flight attendant absenteeism to a satisfactory level;
  • Liaise with other company departments as necessary in the performance of assigned duties;
  • Manage ‘on-time performance’ based on company objectives;
  • Liaise with the VP, Cabin Services on departmental Policy and procedure development;
  • Manage absenteeism to a satisfactory level and implement controls;
  • Obtain and/or acquire Flight Attendant qualifications;
  • Grievance resolution and labour relations as delegated by the VP, Cabin Services;
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with regulatory personnel as applicable;
  • Gain a solid understanding of regulatory issues/safety procedures and how they relate to decision making;
  • Assume any responsibilities delegated by the VP, Cabin Services.
Qualifications:
  • Post Secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Airline experience would is considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, manage, and motivate individuals in a team environment
  • Above average computer skills ability to thrive in a multi-task environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy when managing diverse groups of individuals
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions and problem solve
  • Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
  • Frequent travel is required
