JOB OVERVIEW
Suncor is currently recruiting for an Aviation Planning Performance & Optimization Advisor position to join our exciting team! Reporting to the Manager, Support, the Advisor will support the development and alignment of Transportations integrated strategic / tactical business plans and processes through the effective delivery of business planning tools and methodologies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Compile and communicate monthly reportable metrics re: actuals vs. forecast and impact's on a go forward basis to the effected Business Unit's.
  • Lead the development / analysis of Supply vs. Demand, modeling activities to secure optimal supply requirements in support of the Transportation strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Manager - Transportation Support to develop the Capacity Optimization Strategy re: Long Range Planning; ensure the Assign Plan is optimal for the BU, Suncor, and Transportation operating strategy.
  • Co-ordinate with the Senior Operations group in the development and documentation of the annual and multi-year Transportation strategic business plan and related processes, including Functional and Process level plans.
  • Implementing tactics for Transportation that align with Suncor objectives and / or value drivers; ensure Suncor Brand standards are maintained.
  • Provide guidance reviewing processes for improvement opportunities that will lead to increased customer satisfaction, financial or operational results.
  • Consult on the analysis of Transportation Audit data to drive continuous improvement; identify areas for improvement that may require further investigation or clarification from stakeholders.
  • Provide inputs into Audit recommendations and / or action items for review by the Manager Transportation Support.
  • Ensure compliance to Value Realization Process for Transportation Business Case development
  • Coordinate the development, content and delivery of the Transportations Monthly, Quarterly and YTD reports and review session.
  • Provide guidance on the design of Guest Survey's, facilitating workshops and consolidating / analyzing survey results in support of driving continuous improvement of existing processes to ensure the timely and accurate flow of information and service; support the development of Guest Survey Summary Report.
  • Manage delivery of accurate, timely and cost effective business analyses for Transportation, project evaluations, investment memos that meet the information needs of Transportation and Finance.
  • Apply business analysis principle to Transportation performance metrics/ targets for annual and multi-year plans
  • Responsible for analyzing expenditures vs. contracts and identifying areas for improvement or that require further investigation or clarification and making recommendations for action.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years' experience in Transportation Logistic, preferably in Busing or related field.
  • University degree in Business or Engineering with a preferred focus in business.
  • Strong Project Management skills and demonstrated change management experience required.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experience analyzing, designing, and implementing business standards / operating procedures / process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization, vendor representatives and guests, as required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and resourcefulness in identifying and analyzing relevant data and defining critical issues, alternatives, and value creation opportunities.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • May involve travel to site locations depending on location of role.
