The Calgary Airport Authority is a not-for-profit non share capital corporation, responsible for the management, maintenance, operation and development of the Calgary International Airport and Springbank Airport under long-term leases from the Government of Canada

The Role

Coop Student Position Commencing January 2014,m Eight to Twelve month term
What will you be doing?
Working as a part of the Communications & Marketing team, this role provides interaction with a variety of internal and external airport customers focusing on service quality. This role will allow you to work on several of projects that can be added to your professional portfolio.
What will your primary responsibilities will be?
  • CMAD (Connections that Make a Difference - a Customer Service and Team Building training program)
    • Assist with all elements of current program offering
    • Develop program enhancements
    • Prepare CMAD sessions and manage feedback and follow up
  • Assist with the development of Team YYC (airport community partners)
    • Assist with the special recognition event planning
    • Develop engagement strategies and action plans
    • Identify opportunities for development and communication of Team YYC concept
    • Develop communication plans
    • Maintain and develop Team YYC Websit
    • Develop Customer Service Policies Manual for YYC
  • Performance Management
    • Administer the Service Quality Survey program
    • Manage expanded research programs and focus groups
    • Interpret survey results and make recommendations based on those results
    • Develop standard reporting templates

Basic Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Energetic and proactive attitude
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively collaborate with others
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, editing and writing skills
  • Experience using a content managed website is an asset
