Air Canada rouge is currently recruiting a TRAINING SUPPORT SPECIALIST, MISSISSAUGA
REPORTS TO: The Training Support Specialist reports to the System Chief Pilot.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage SMS responsibilities in accordance with the Safety Management Manual;• On behalf of the Vice President, Flight Operations, promote and support safe and efficient flight operations at Air Canada rouge; • Act as point of contact between Air Canada rouge and the various providers of pilot training services;• Oversee and coordinate all training events completed by Air Canada rouge pilots, including company indoctrination training, initial and recurrent aircraft type training, annual recurrent training, Line Indoctrination Captain Qualification Training, Approved Check Pilot Training and other training as required;• Act as point of contact with Air Canada rouge pilots in training and oversee sending welcome letters and course material;• Oversee student progress through company indoctrination and transition course training from first contact after position award until release to line ops; • Liaise as required with sim planners, line indoctrination planners, and Chief Pilots (Type) to ensure efficient progress through the training program and adherence to target training footprint;• Manage the issuance of materials to pilots commencing an assignment to Air Canada rouge, including ties, ings, keys and iPads, and coordinate Aeronet rouge tab access;• Coordinate development and proving of all required scripting for training events in consultation with Chief Pilots (Type), Air Canada Training personnel and other providers of training services; • On behalf of the Chief Pilots, type, liaise with Air Canada Crew Records Dept and oversee the management of crew records and qualification tracking for Air Canada rouge pilots; • Provide support to the Chief Pilots, Type, by liaising with Air Canada Fleet Efficiency Managers in the scheduling and administration of the ACP team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:• Education: Post-Secondary education in Aviation Management or similar program , university or college diploma preferred;• Ability to use MS Word, Excel, electronic mail efficiently;• Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations an asset; • Familiarity with pilot qualification programs an asset; • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Knowledge of: o Air Canada rouge Flight Operations Manual, o A319 and B767 Aircraft Operating Manual; ando Air Canada rouge approved training programs.• Proven teamwork and administrative skills; • Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations; • Must demonstrate significant achievements in specific quality areas and/or issues; proven superior interpersonal skills, language skills, team skills, technical and leadership capabilities.
LINGUISTIC REQUIREMENTS• Ability to communicate in both written and oral English at an advanced level is required. Based on equal qualifications, preference will be given to bilingual (English/French) candidates.
