New Posting - Ledcor (Aviation Division)

The Resources & Transportation Division of the Ledcor Group encompasses a number of Ledcor businesses including: Summit Air Charters, Summit Helicopters, Aurora Jet Partners, the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre (VHFC), and an integrated forest products division which procures, processes, stores, and delivers wood fibre (using its own fleet of highway tractors/trailers and tugs/barges) for the power generation, wood pellet, and pulp & paper industries in BC. The division also produces solid wood products, squares and boards, for both domestic and export markets.
 
Summit Air is seeking an experienced Training Records Clerk for our flight operations in Yellowknife, NT. The Training Records Clerk is an administrative role responsible for maintaining records of all Summit Air and Summit Helicopters employee training and company-wide training calendars, and for monitoring required programs of training. This position will assist the Training Coordinator and Training Associates with the performance of their duties.

This role is an 18-month contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of personnel training records
  • Maintain training database data entry, including weekly database checks
  • Perform audits of training binders
  • Ensure accurate filing and archiving of training records
  • Monitor and schedule initial, annual and recurrent training for all company personnel
  • Engage with Summit employees regarding their training schedules
  • Maintain all training material

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar records management or administrative position
  • Post-secondary education in Records Management or other business program preferred
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical or legal; knowledge of Canadian Aviation regulations is an asset
  • Very strong MS Office skills, including Access, Word and Excel
  • Meticulous, with extraordinary attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment with a variety of people
  • Trustworthy, with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
