Location: Calgary, AB
Skyplan has a new and exciting opportunity that would allow you to be part of an exciting, dynamic and passionate team of aviation professionals in the capacity of Flight Dispatcher. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven operations individual responsible for the operational control of flights assigned during a shift. You would work along side a very talented group of individuals in a progressive organization with customers worldwide.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, Shift Work

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
•Preflight preparation
•Development, review, authorization, issue and revision of operational flight plans for airlines and corporate clients based worldwide
•Flight following, weather and NOTAM monitoring for enroute aircraft
•Communication with Air Traffic Control
•Coordinate with various other departments, both customer related and internal
•Flight Dispatch support for clientele utilizing Skyplan's hosted flight planning system

Position Requirements:
•Canadian citizen or landed immigrant leglly entitled to work in Canada
•Successful completion of the Transport Canada Generic Flight Dispatch exams (Operations and Meteorology)
•Minimum of 21 yrs of age as per Transport Canada
•Valid Air Operator Radio License
•Ability to work day and night shift (12 hours in length)
•Ability to communicate clearly in the English language
•Working knowledge of MS Office applications
•An understanding of various aviation regulatory publications (CARS, FARs, AIM, CFS, RCAP, etc) and procedures
•Excellent customer service skills
•Ability to prioritize and work in a high energy environment
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Previous aviation experience (Flight Dispatch) preferred
