Air Show Volunteer Opportunity
Thank you for taking an interest in volunteering for this years’ 2014 Boundary Bay Air Show!

with their raw energy and excitement continue
to draw people and as one of Delta’s most popular events,
The Boundary Bay Airshow is no exception. It is one of the
last free admission shows and now attracts over 15,000
guests. Families enjoy the exhilarating air performances and static aircraft displays, as well
as children’s activities, refreshments and much more offered throughout the day.

Volunteer Areas:
Parking
The incoming patron will need traffic direction on where to park.
This parking crew works throughout the show: ushering traffic onsite in the
morning and out in the afternoon. All volunteers for this crew should be 18
years of age or older.
Hospitality Host/Hostess
Hospitality crew will provide help and a warm greeting to all our
guests. The main hosting areas: Main Entrance Gates, VIP Chalet, and
Information Desk.
Vendor Escort
This crew will escort vendors from the main gate to Vendor Area's.
Gate Control
This crew will meet, greet, and direct vendors, performers, delivery
personnel, and first-responders to the appropriate areas at the airport.
Operations (Airshow Setup and Take-Down)
This includes tents
and fence setup and tear-down. This work will require some
lifting.
People - Escort
This crew drives our patrons from East Apron to the Air Show site
on one specific route. All volunteers
should hold an AVOP and a valid BC Driver's Licence.
Aircraft Security
Static aircraft may need
individuals to help explain the aircraft and to keep the public from climbing
on the aircraft.
