Vacancies exist within Flight
Operations for Flight Crew Schedulers (CAW), reporting to the System Flight Crew
Scheduling Duty Manager.
These positions are currently located in
Mississauga, across from Pearson International Airport. They will be relocated
to our new Operations Centre in Brampton, at 401 and Mississauga Road effective
March, 2014.
This position is responsible for scheduling Flight Crews in
accordance with contractual and Company regulations for all Air Canada
operations.
Job Description
- Monitor daily and future Flight Crew
requirements and re-schedule, if necessary.
- Provide effective and timely
communication with all Flight Crews as it relates to the scheduling or
re-scheduling activity.
- Compile management information.
- Analyze
irregular operations and make effective scheduling decisions.
- Coordinate
scheduling activities to achieve on time operational performance in concert with
other operational offices.
- Interpret and administer the ACPA agreement
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, communication,
organizational skills and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical
skills.
- Ability to work under pressure without close supervision.
- Previous airline operational experience, an asset.
- Experience
with conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Must successfully complete
and pass basic Flight Crew Scheduling Training Program.
- Must work
shifts, including midnights.
