Summit Air is seeking a Ramp Attendant to support our flight operations based in Yellowknife, NT. The Ramp Attendant is responsible for performing ground handling duties around aircraft for Summit Air customers on the ramp.
This role will lead to a future flying position.
Responsibilities
• Marshals aircraft in ramp area; tows aircraft on the ground
• Unloads and loads passenger baggage and cargo to/from aircraft
• Assists with aircraft grooming and washing
• De-ices aircraft and assists crew to prepare aircraft for departure
• Performs snow removal duties as required
• Ensures necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area for upcoming flights
• Assists with freight handling
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Ground Operations Manager
Requirements
• Holds current commercial pilot license (IATRA preferred)
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position which include bending, climbing, and heavy lifting
• Must meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
