This position reports directly to the Manager General Operations Station Operation Control Center (STOC) Oversight and develops and implements the strategic and mid term tactical plan for the operational needs of this functional area. The Manager General Operations provides guidance to all departments and ensures the required resources, equipment and facilities necessary to achieve operational targets and measures are in place.
- Actions and maintains multi level and multi directional communications with key internal and external interfaces and ensures total product delivery.
- Proactively maintains an awareness of developing operating constraints to ensure the best airport plan or solution is delivered
- Ensures that valid day-of-flight opportunities, constraints and recovery options are identified by all branches and that the customer impact and down line implications are considered in the decision making process
- Acts as a change facilitator for process and procedural improvement
- Ensures safety standards are consistently maintained
- Implements and directs the strategic vision to drive improved station results
- Ensures the alignment of corporate and airport goals
- Provides the necessary resources, tools, daily gating plans and communication strategies to optimize airport performance
- Communicates goals, objectives, expectations and performance targets
- Participates in the development and enhancement of corporate and airport initiatives
- Fosters an effective business relationship with external providers
- Liaises with SOC and demonstrate efficient resolution of scheduling issues
- Analyzes trends and statistics for performance efficiencies and effectiveness
- Drives accountability for revenue enhancement and cost containment
- Builds high performing teams which communicate effectively within cross functional areas
- Supports and recognizes team and individual success
- Supports proactively succession planning and management development
- Promotes and manages a corporate culture of accountability and ownership
