Reporting to the Station Manager, the Ramp Supervisor will efficiently and effectively manage the front line staff while performing aircraft service activities. Ensure operational procedures are conducted in a safe and professional manner. Provide leadership and maintain positive relationships with the front line staff, customers and airport authority. Must have a good understanding of airport logistics and can optimize manpower.
Responsibilities:
- Assign resources as needed during daily flight operations.
- Training Ramp Leads/Agents to ensure they are in compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure that departmental control procedures are established and maintained.
- Ensure all ramp vehicles and equipment is being properly maintained.
- Communicate and coordinate with GSE department concerning ground equipment.
- Ensure department financial targets are met.
- Conduct customer ramp audits to maintain a safe working condition to reduce/identify any potential
- safety hazards.
- Submit all reports/documentation as required by the Station Manager.
- Effective and efficient communications between management and the workforce.
- Provide leadership and team building with front line staff.
- Take corrective/disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Work extra hours past scheduled shift as necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years ramp experience in a Lead position.
- Ability to work well under pressure to maintain timely flight departures and quick turns in a safe
- manner.
- Able to enhance customer relation skills
- Proficient with computers and software such MS Office.
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Flexible work schedule including evenings,weekends and holidays.
- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to qualify for Transport Canada Security Clearance
