YVR FOD Walk

One day each year the Vancouver Airport Authority sponsors a FOD (Foreign Object Debris, or Foreign Object Damage) Walk to highlight FOD as one important aspect of the airport commitment to safety and security. 

BCIT Aviation Operations Class 19 students gathered with employees from YVR, airlines, service providers, and more at 0400 to walk the runways and aprons to collect FOD, learn about airside safety and, perhaps, earn great prizes donated by several airport organizations. 

One of the big winners this year, Jesse Thompson from Airport Operations Class 19, won a Simulator Experience, donated by Air Canada. Congratulations Jesse!
