Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Groundside Operations, this position
is responsible supporting the Parking & Groundside Operations team by
interfacing with GTAA Ground Transportation & Parking Tenants.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
·
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with GTAA
Ground Transportation and Parking tenants and fostering a good understanding of
specific tenant activities and provisions under various types of agreements
·
Principal point of contact from the business unit with Finance
regarding tenant revenue streams, accounts receivable, billing processes, security
deposits, etc.
·
Working with Tenant and internal stakeholders in gathering and
processing financial data (audited sales)
·
Assisting in the management of commercial agreements by preparing
various forms of agreements with respect to revenue generating contracts
(leases, licenses, other) including arrangements for review and approval by the
Legal and Risk Management departments
·
Maintaining the Lease Management System database by entering
billing, lease rates, bill rules and other data entry in an accurate,
consistent and timely manner
·
Monitoring and tracking annual rent increases, minimum annual
guaranteed (MAG) rent adjustments, lease expirations, notice required for
contract extensions
·
Recommending and implementing enhancements/improvements to leasing
information system and document management processes
·
Ensuring tenant compliance with terms and conditions of agreements
This unionized
position is classified at the Band 6 level, with an hourly wage rate of $28.88
to $31.77, based on a 37.5 hour work week. The successful candidate must be
available to commence the duties of the position once a selection decision has
been made. An eligibility list may be used to staff similar positions.

Qualifications
·
Post-secondary degree or 3 year diploma in either Business
Administration, Economics, or Commercial Property Management
·
Must possess a minimum of 3 years direct experience in property
management, lease administration and/or lease compliance experience in property
and/or real estate industries.
·
Must possess a valid Provincial Ontario Driver’s license
·
All applicants must have a fully satisfactory work performance in
his/her current position and a work record that is void of discipline and
unacceptable attendance that would have a bearing on the duties, roles and
responsibilities of the posted position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·
Demonstrated knowledge and comprehension of the various types of
commercial agreements
·
Knowledge of airport operations and how they relate to property
management and rentals is considered an asset
·
Knowledge of various functions within property management and
industry best practices relating to commercial agreements, including but not
limited to: taxation, security deposits, insurance/maintenance/facility
requirements, US dollar currency exchange rates and rental rates
·
Knowledge of currency exchange rates and ability to convert money
·
Knowledge of rent formulas and the ability to develop and perform
basic mathematical formulas and calculations when determining rent
·
Ability to analyze financial, operational and statistical
information, while considering the legal, business and monetary implications to
lease conditions
·
Ability to deal and work collaboratively with multiple
stakeholders, both internally and externally, with a strong customer focus
·
Ability to work independently and within a team environment with
minimal supervision
·
Possess strong relationship management and communication skills,
both orally and written, and have the ability to handle conflict situations
with tact and diplomacy
·
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and have the
ability to prioritize work effectively
·
Ability to multi task, analyze information and data, trouble
shoot, resolve issues, be proactive, as well as being flexible and adaptable to
change in a fast paced environment

Must possess strong computer skills, with the ability to utilize
MS Office effectively as well being familiar with property management software
databases
