Cathay Pacific Airways Canada is currently seeking a dynamic, motivated individual with the proven ability to lead and manage the Cargo Sales and Service team for Cathay Pacific Airways in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Cargo Manager, Western Canada, the Cargo Sales & Service Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and monitoring of the cargo servicing plan, including the supervision of customer service, and the operation of the handling agents, report performance status, qualitatively and quantitatively.
- Develop forecasts of future service and manpower needs, standardize and implementation of procedures
- Implement operations plan to optimize booking space and weight utilization of the aircraft.
- Interface with various airport authorities and local and government agencies.
- To coordinate with contracted RHA to ensure the aircraft is being handled in accordance to the CX SOP’s as well as ensure all safety procedures are being followed.
- Ensure HVY/PER cargo as well as other high yield cargos are being handled accordingly.
- Facilitate monthly supplier meetings to resolve service delivery issues and look for areas of improvement as well as cost reduction.
- To manage CX KPI standards as well as ensuring our suppliers are meeting or exceeding our targets.
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of cargo operations, sales and customer service supervisory/management experience.
- In-depth communication, management and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Proven success record in setting and achieving goals.
- Excellent decision making & administrative skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Sound knowledge in air cargo warehousing operations
- Sound knowledge in freighter operations.
- Sound knowledge in TSA/Canadian regulations and safety and security requirements.
- Knowledge of cargo build up
- Knowledge of air cargo tariff and TACT Rules
- Knowledge of air cargo Dangerous Goods acceptance procedures
- Familiar with aircraft weight and balance.
- Knowledge of MS Word applications.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work environment.
