Position Details

Job Objective
To carry out specific assigned duties relating to emergency procedures, incidents affecting security, safety of passengers, crew members and the aircraft in accordance to Transport Canada regulations while delivering professional and exceptional customer service.

Role Description
* Maintains Enerjet's culture by delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality
* Ensures standard operating procedures are in compliance with Transport Canada requirements and Enerjet Flight Attendant Manual
* Cares for the safety and comfort of passengers while assisting them with their needs
* Responds accordingly to all emergencies
* Manages and communicates any unusual circumstances to all crew members
* Assist in timely departure of flights
* Maintains a calm, dignified manner which exudes confidence and competence
* Creates friendly environment with crew members, catering, commissary, airport and maintenance staff
* Works independently without supervision
* Assists the Lead Flight Attendant in the execution of duties as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual
* Maintains compliance with uniform standards
* Accountable for cash handling
* Maintains personal travel documents valid
* Reports to the Lead Flight Attendant any circumstances or malfunction of equipment observed or reported by a passenger that may affect the safety of the flight.
* Displays mature and dignified conduct on the aircraft whether working, deadheading or traveling as a passenger
* Establish, Promote and Maintain effective Safety Management Processes in support of the Company Safety Management System
Requirements
* Successful completion of CT301 program with Inflight Institute prior to applying
* Must be minimum 18 years of age (required for the services of liquor)
* Minimum 2 years customer service experience in a dynamic work environment
* Must hold a valid Canadian passport and be able to meet Transport Canada Security Clearance program
* Must be able to attain a red Restricted Area Pass Identification (RAIC) card, which requires the applicant to submit five 5 years worth of adequate, reliable and verifiable information upon which a decision will be based
* Clean criminal record
* Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, post secondary education is a definite asset
* Able to meet aviation medical standards
* Must be able to read and be fluent in English, multilingual an asset
* Must be able to successfully complete the Performance Demands Analysis testing, i.e.: ability to reach emergency and essential equipment on board the aircraft
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems
* Safety minded
* Proven ability to work in a team environment
* Able to take initiative and adapt to various situations
* Excellent communication skills
* Computer knowledge and experience is essential
* Vision must be correctable to 20/40
* Must possess a valid driver's license
* Selected candidates must successfully complete all required training including Safety Management System (SMS), Emergency Response (ER), Dangerous Goods and WHMIS
