CAO and General Manager
Pitt Meadows Airport Society (PMAS)
Purpose: The CAO and General Manager will direct the planning and management of the airport in accordance with the PMAS Master Plan and as directed by the PMAS Board of Directors. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the airport within the authority vested through Transport Canada and in accordance with Transport Canada and Nav Canada regulations. The CAO and General Manager will report to and work with the Board of Directors and oversee a team of eight.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience: Possess a post-secondary education in business or aviation management, an MBA would be considered an asset; Minimum eight years of demonstrated management success, preferably with exposure to the airport or airline industries; Possess a solid understanding or strong willingness to learn airport operations, airport standards, and recommended practices; Possess solid financial acumen with a strong commercial focus; Proven experience in strategic planning, organization development, and achieving results in building teams and effective employee relations; Exposure to implementing development plans, capital works, and infrastructure programs; Experience in a multi-dimensional service organization with proven ability to provide focus and leadership, adapting and integrating planning, policy and program initiatives; and Proven track record of accomplishments and career advancement.
