Air Georgian Limited is currently recruiting a Crew Planner

Target Start Date: May 2015
1 Full-Time Position (18 month contract)

Responsible for covering open flights and building efficient pairings on time and scheduling pilots monthly schedule and supervising crew scheduler’s day to day operational issues.


Job Description

Regular Operations:
• Building efficient crew pairings;
• Building Crew Monthly Schedule as per OREA contract;
• Publishing Bid Package for pilots;
• Monitor crew Trades after approval of Chief Pilots;
• Liaise with Chief Pilots for crew requirements;
• Monitor Line-indoctrination for new /upgrade crew;
• Build monthly Dead-head tickets for crew;
• Load Crew Pairings and monthly schedule in crew trac;
• Fax monthly crew hotel requirements to hotels;
• Coordinate with hotel coordinator for new hotels and change in crew hotel room requirements;
• Send Monthly flight itinerary to management;
• Monitor crew personal information data (Passport/ address/ phone number/ green on green/ qualification.) and liaise with Crew Qual person for fixing these issues;
• Liaise with training coordinator for any training changes;
• Monitor crew Scheduler’s need and provide assistance to crew scheduler desks as and when needed;
• Any other assignment assigned by the Flight Operations Control Center Manager.

Irregular Operations:
• Be able to remove flight data from data base; 
• Re-schedule the pilots;
• Cover sick and vacation days of crew scheduler;
• Be able to perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor;
• Any other assignment assigned by the Flight Operations Control Center Manager.

Job Requirements

• Previous industry or dispatching experience an asset 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successfully completed high school diploma
• Post-secondary degree in aviation or related experience an asset
• Commercial pilot’s license or passed Transport Canada generic dispatcher exam(s) an asset
• English language: written and spoken 
• Must be able to work autonomously or in team settings
• Knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations as asset
• Self-starter, problem solving skills.
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Thrives in a fast-moving environment, with high tolerance for change.
• Motivated and enthusiastic team player.
