Summer Seasonal Groundskeeper - Regina Airport Authority
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the
ability to work in a team environment.
Position Summary
Maintain various groundside and landscaped areas of Regina International Airport under the
general supervision of the facilities and maintenance department.
Primary Responsibilities
Groundskeepers are responsible for the care and appearance of lawns, sidewalks, irrigation
systems, flower beds, landscape equipment and plants using various tools and equipment.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Be aware of and operate within Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and airport
safety policies and procedures at all times.
Responsible for daily care and maintenance of landscaped areas (through the use of
horticulture practices), irrigation systems, and equipment and tools required to perform
assigned daily tasks.
Responsible for the preparation of flower beds in the spring and the watering and maintenance
of flower beds on a continuous basis.
Responsible for daily upkeep of airport property and grounds which includes the cleaning and
removal of trash and litter.
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
Must be safety conscious and have working knowledge of safe working practices while using
powered and non-powered tools and equipment.
Must be motivated and able to work in a team setting and by one’s self.
Must be in good physical shape with the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Must possess a minimum of a Class 5 Drivers License.
Must have previous experience in landscape maintenance.
Ability to implement safe working practices while operating powered and non-powered
landscape equipment or hand tools such as mowers, tractors, saws, shovels, rakes, saws or
any other tool or equipment required to complete an assigned task.
Ability to follow detailed designs in order to plant flowers, grass, trees, or shrubs and apply
mulch and ground cover for protection, using landscape tools and equipment.
