The Village of Masset is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to fill the
role of Airport Manager at
the Masset
Municipal Airport. The
Masset Airport is a certified airport and requires a dedicated manager to
handle the day to day operations,
implement our Safety Management System and Quality Assurance Program, and develop
the airport business for the
community.
The Masset airport sees a wide variety
of traffic with a concentration of charter planes and helicopter traffic
during the summer months for fishing
lodge customers. Fuelling
operations are provided
by
the airport with sales in excess
of 800,000 litres per year. Total aircraft movements are in the
range of 1800 –
2000 per year
with enplaning and
deplaning passengers over 20,000 per year. Year
round scheduled service to Vancouver is provided by Pacific
Coastal Airlines.
The airport has just completed a new terminal building and parking
lot improvements in 2014.
Masset is located on
the Northern
end of Haida Gwaii and offers
a unique living experience
with a wide range of outdoor
sporting opportunities, including hiking, camping, surfing, fishing, hunting
and more. With a mild climate and a rainforest as
our backyard Masset offers a
unique perspective on northern living.
