You are a low-time pilot looking to get a ‘foot in the door’ with a reputable aviation company. If you have strong customer service skills and a passion for aviation, Summit Air has great opportunities as Flight Attendants at our base in Yellowknife, NT.

Flight Attendant roles for low-time pilots eventually lead to flying positions.

Responsibilities
• Performs Flight Attendant duties on a variety of aircraft, including Dash 8, ATR, and RJ 85
• Enforces emergency and safety procedures consistent with all Transport Canada regulations and company policies/procedures
• Provides leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies
• Reports any and all activities which could adversely affect passenger safety to appropriate flight personnel
• Works in aircraft aisles and galleys, standing, reaching, walking, kneeling, and stooping, and sitting during takeoff and landing
• Operates mechanical and safety equipment including stairs, oxygen systems, aircraft doors (pushing and pulling), fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communications equipment, and lighting systems
• Delivers exceptional customer service while performing pre-flight and in-flight duties, including serving beverages/snacks
• Performs duties of Ramp Attendant when required

Requirements
• Holds current commercial pilot license (IATRA preferred)
• Multi-IFR training is a definite asset
• Above average interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Previous experience with check-in or cargo would be an asset
• Must meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
