Duties and Responsibilities Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to Maintenance Manager.
- Maintains the Iqaluit Base Library in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Carry out amendments to Library documents as required.
- Responsible for making travel arrangements.
- Sorts and verifies aircraft log sheets.
- Ensures that DMI cards are routed correctly throughout the DMI control card process.
- Monitors TMS system and advise Maintenance Manager of upcoming training requirements to be scheduled.
- Liaises with other departments to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and signed as required.
- Maintains records, manuals and filing system.
- Other related duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Skills and Qualifications Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma.
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to speak Inuktitut/English, French/English an asset.
- Must be proficient with computer programs i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint (DASH an asset).
- A working knowledge of the SABRE computer system.
- Background or high interest in technical/mechanical details an asset.
- Self motivated and possess the ability to accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrated organizational and problem solving abilities.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
