Pacific Coastal Airlines has an exciting new opportunity as a new role in our Kelowna operations.
Pacific Coastal Airlines has been in operations for almost over forty years, and provides regular schedule, charter, and cargo services to 65+ destinations in British Columbia, more than any other airline. We are the sixth largest airline operating at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) based on total outbound seats, and third largest based on take offs and landings. Our administrative office is located at YVR's South Terminal in Richmond B.C, and our seaplane division is headquartered in Port Hardy on Vancouver Island.

Reporting to the Director, Sales and Marketing, the Business Development, and Customer Service Manager is a multi-faceted position. The position will contribute to overall revenue and profitability by successful implementation of the annual sales, and marketing plan, and will serve locally and regionally as the primary liaison and first point of contact in all matters pertaining to community relations, community investment, and community advocacy.

As a key member of the operations team, the Business Development, and Customer Service Manager will be responsible for hiring, providing leadership, support, and training to all new Customer Service Agents, and contract Ramp Attendants at the Kelowna base. This includes but is not limited to telephone, and counter reservations, passenger check-in, baggage, and cargo processing, loading, and unloading, aircraft fueling, and marshalling, radio communications with aircrafts, and operations coordination.

As a key member of the Sales, and Marketing Department, the Business Development and Customer Service manager is entrusted with the airline's brand and corporate reputation and is therefore expected to maintain the highest standards of professional, and personal conduct, and integrity at all times as well as maintain excellent relationships with clients, and employees and contribute to the overall success of the Sales and Marketing Department.

The Business Development, and Customer Service Manager will assist the team in meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual gross revenue targets and will make a positive contribution to overall profitability. In addition, the position will be responsible to contribute to the overall market growth, seek new business opportunities, and build, and maintain excellent relationships with customers, key stakeholders, industry groups, and employees.

The successful candidate will represent Pacific Coastal Airlines at community events, professional or community associations, local, provincial, federal government, First Nations, and other functions and events as required. This means there will weekend and evening work as well as regular travel within the region.
