Up close and personal with Nanaimo Airport

Last Sunda a group of energetic students organized a field trip to Nanaimo Airport to take a close look at airport operations.  

Thanks to the outstanding support of Doug Fern, Manager Safety and Security at Nanaimo Airport, Airport Operations Class 21 students Adam, Gabriel, Johnathan, Mitesh and Saud were even able to ride down the runway in the brand new $900,000 fire fighting apparatus! The students also had the opportunity to learn about many aspects of safety and security including wildlife control and snow plowing.  

This is an example of exceptional support for aviation students from the aviation community. Thank you Nanaimo Airport!
