Job Title
Manager, Cabin Safety and In Flight Services and Coordinator, Dangerous Goods Program
Responsibilities
The Manager of Cabin Safety & In-Flight Services shall be responsible to comply with the duties of Flight Attendant Manager as defined the Canadian Aviation Regulations and in accordance with CASS 725.07(2)(d)(ii), which includes:


  • The professional standards of Cabin Crew;
  • Maintaining a current and approved FAM and Cabin Crew Training Program;
  • Issuing directives and notices to Cabin Crew;
  • The actioning and distribution of Accident, Incident and other Occurrence Reports;
  • The processing and actioning of any Cabin Crew Reports;
  • The supervision of Cabin Crew;
  • Assuming any responsibilities delegated by the DFO;
  • Training Cabin Crew in accordance with the Approved Training Program;
  • The maintenance of Cabin Crew Training Records;
  • Liaison with other Company departments;
  • The development of safety feather cards;
  • While absent, delegate all responsibilities and duties to another qualified individual;
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of Flight Attendants;
  • Take responsibilities for a strong Safety Culture within the cabin crew operation, ensuring all safety reports are investigated in a timely fashion, identify root causes, corrective and preventative action and appropriate action is taken;
  • Assume any responsibilities delegated by the DFO; and
  • Maintaining the Company Dangerous Goods Program and acting as the liaison between the Company and the Regional Dangerous Goods Office of Transport Canada Commercial and Business Aviation.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with extensive In-Flight experience;
  • Experience in full cycle training design and delivery including writing and designing training manuals is a requirement;
  • Strong motivational, leadership and time management skills;
  • Knowledge of the provisions of the Aeronautics Act and the Canadian Aviation Regulations pertinent to Flight Attendant training;
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations; and
  • Become initially qualified as a Trans Capital Air Flight Attendant and maintain the qualification via attendance at Annual Recurrent Training.
