Reporting to the Director, Corporate Business Design & Terminal Development, the role is responsible for leading and directing a CTS team that facilitates the effective coordination and integration of GTAA sponsored work programs, activities and events that take place within and / or otherwise impacts the daily operation of the Terminal facilities. The position is responsible for ensuring that there are effective and efficient processes, procedures and means to communicate and integrate initiatives and activities, such as construction, ongoing maintenance, and special events, among other undertakings, into the daily operation of the Terminal facilities while minimizing or eliminating the impact of these activities on the flow of passengers, bags and aircraft.
Additionally the role will be responsible for coordinating, on behalf of CTS and in conjunction with AVS, APTS and others, the setting of requirements, integration, use and/or other general matters and issues related to key Terminal infrastructure systems, assets and equipment such DAS, WiFi, lighting, heating, and moving devices, and other terminal based assets and services, including CTS Terminal office spaces, meeting rooms and the GTAA Distinguished Visitor Lounges (DVL).
Job Description Key Accountabilities:
- Manages and oversees the development of the CTS employees within the Activity, Event Coordination & Operational Integration group
- Deliver reviewed and coordinated activity and event information to affected “day of” parties
- Ensure that all necessary information and/or feedback is collected and documented with respect to terminal activities and airport wide event requests
- Ensure that tenant and agency relationship owners are provided timely and relevant information pertaining to immediate and long term impacts of activities and events on their respective relationship group’s operations
- Ensure that GTAA sponsorship is in place for all requested activities and events
- Deliver timely and relevant information to GTAA sponsoring groups on planned construction, maintenance and other activities and events in advance of, during or after activity/event
- Acts as the CTS primary coordinator for Terminal construction and maintenance, working with teams and committees focused on the coordination of planned construction work or emergency maintenance work associated with the Terminals
- Works closely with the Manager Terminal Development and Activation to support ORAT activities and requirements
- Provide information, advice and guidance to CTS and/or other GTAA groups on corporate initiatives where appropriate
- In conjunction with key stakeholders effectively administers the day to day resolution of operational issues associated with terminal infrastructure, systems, assets and equipment
- Coordinates and collects on behalf of CTS needs and requirements associated with existing terminal infrastructure systems and assets and delivers those requirements to the appropriate stakeholder
- Coordinates requirements gathering on behalf of the department in relation to the development of new or upgraded terminal based systems, assets and equipment
- Coordinates and participates with appropriate internal and external stakeholders in the acquisition, provision and upkeep of terminal infrastructure, systems, assets and equipment
- Participates with other stakeholders (i.e., APTS, ITM), in the development of policies, procedures and practices related to key terminal infrastructure, assets and equipment
- Provides advice, assistance and support to CTS groups on matters and issues related to the use and/or provision of key terminal infrastructure, systems, assets and equipment
- Coordinates the repair of office equipment and installation of new media
- In concert with other key stakeholders monitors and reports to CTS on the condition, serviceability, effectiveness and use of terminal infrastructure, systems, assets and equipment
- Develops and manages any future CTS specific budgets associated with key terminal infrastructure, systems, assets and equipment
- Influences people and communicates to others through motivation, delegation, supervision, team building, and conflict management
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements Qualifications
- Must have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Aviation, Transportation, Logistics or a related field (an equivalent combination of work and experience will also be considered)
- One year of project management / construction coordination experience preferred
- Must have minimum five (5) years’ of functional work experience in airport operations
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance
