Manager Quality, Health and Safety (YUL)

The Manager Quality, Health & Safety (Q&H&S) assures with his team that all relevant standards, rules and procedures are permanently checked and analysed for improvements. He prepares reports concerning the quality, the safety adherence and health by auditing all 3 areas periodically thereby supporting all operational units of the station.

Job Responsibilities 
  • Support all operational units regarding quality, health and safety by observing and auditing operational processes.
  • Prepare reports and feedback based on audits and observation to all units of the station
  • Keep track of progress and initiatives concerning quality, health and safety.
  • Liaise internally (corporate H&S) and externally (Airport authority, Labour office etc.) to keep all station staff up to date re Q&H&S
  • Continuously seeks and proposes quality enhancement (IT tools etc.) to make the operational tasks of the station better and safer.
  • Provide correct statistical info on the subjects to the GM and all peers
  • Produce on behalf of GM daily relevant analysis.
  • Manage or support operational projects, business plans, introduction and maintenance of new procedures and technologies on behalf of Station’s General Manager.
  • Identification of improvement opportunities (safety, quality, efficiency)

Qualifications and Competencies 
  • Commercial degree, aviation experience or equivalent
  • Aviation all-rounder with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership position
  • ISO and / or ISAGO knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communicator and customer service attitude
  • Leadership skills
  • General IT know-how
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with drive for self improvement
  • Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
