Employment Opportunity Ramp Attendant Wage: $14.00 (or commensurate with experience) Hours of Work: On-call with potential for part-time or full-time Location: Vancouver International Airport Closing Date: Friday, January 29, 2016 Our Ramp Attendants provide exceptional customer service to all Air North customers by providing safe, efficient and accurate handling of baggage and cargo while adhering to all Ramp and Airside methods and standards. Duties include, but are not limited to: Marshaling aircraft in and out of ramp area safely and efficiently Loading & unloading baggage and cargo on/off the aircraft Operating and positioning all airside equipment Performing basic baggage equipment checks and fueling duties Understanding and communicating pit loading counts, procedures with flights crews and ground support Servicing aircraft lavatories and water Maintaining on-going communication with Lead and/or Supervisor Supporting and representing company policy at all times, i.e. uniform, personal conduct and maintaining an organized and professional environment Qualifications/Conditions of Employment Grade 12 High School Diploma Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract Must pass a pre-employment security/background check and able to obtain an Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance (RAIC) Must be able to obtain AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operations Permit) license Successfully complete WHMIS and Dangerous Goods Able to lift up to 75 lbs repetitively Must be physically fit - able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop and climb repetitively Must successfully complete an initial training program Able to work shift work, split shifts, weekends and holidays Able to adhere to Air North safety policies while performing assigned duties Prepared to work outside in all climatic conditions Able to work in confined spaces Demonstrate a passion for providing outstanding customer service How to Apply Please submit your resume to the Human Resources Department by Friday, January 29, 2016 : Fax: (604) 214-1408 We wish to express our appreciation to all applicants for their interest in this position and advise that only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
