  • The Chief Pilot is responsible to the Director of Flight Operations for the professional standards of the flight crews under their authority, and in particular: 
  • Participation in the Company’s Safety Management System 
  • Developing standard operating procedures 
  • In conjunction with the Technical Support Manager - Flight Operations, ensuring that all required approved training programs for Company flight crews satisfy regulatory, Company and Management System/Health and Safety/Operations Committee requirements 

  • Issuing directives and notices to the flight crews as required 
  • Ensuring the operational suitability and requirements of all airports and routes served by the Company 
  • Actioning and distribution of Safety Management System, Aviation Occurrence Report(s) and other pertinent reports 
  • Supervising of flight crews 
  • Performing all other duties as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations 

Requirements 

  • Possess at least three (3) years of experience on type or similar 
  • Aviation management experience or equivalent degree 
  • Good knowledge of the procedures relatives to the Standard Operations Manual and CARS 
  • Management Ability 
  • Meet TC requirements as per CAR’s 723.07 (2) (b) and 724.07 (2) (b) 
  • Successfully pass TC-A interview and written exam for CP 703-704 Operations 
  • Benefits and Salary
