Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service the Customer Service Ambassador provides additional assistance to Porter passengers as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assistance to Porter’s Special Service Request passengers including transporting wheelchair passengers to and from their flights, escorting unaccompanied minors and guiding passengers with visual impairments.
- Assist with baggage as required, including pushing baggage carts
- Greet and engage with passengers in and around the terminal area to offer assistance with directions, flight information and general inquiries.
- Monitor and enforce carry-on baggage size requirements in accordance with Porter’s carry-on baggage control program
- Manage passenger lines at check-in to ensure a smooth, orderly and efficient flow of passengers during peak times
- Provide assistance to passengers using Porter kiosks to check-in.
- Act as a Welcome Ambassador for our arriving passengers at YTZ Airport
- Assist with the grooming of aircrafts to maintain a clean and elevated inflight experience for passengers
- Transfer and distribute wheel chairs between mainland and Airport Terminal
- Assist with re-stocking check-in and gate positions
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Other Duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of customer service experience is an asset
- A positive and passionate personality, with the natural ability to communicate with people
- Experience working in a team dynamic under stressful and busy situations
- Flexibility to work shift work within the 7 days of the week – early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs/27 kgs repetitively
- Ability to obtain and maintain full security clearance to the airport
- The Passenger Service Ambassador role is a highly physical one; agents are required to be on their feet for long periods of time
