Our people are your people.  The Transportation Aviation Branch is responsible for the management, development and maintenance of the Yukon Territory Aviation System which includes the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport (ENWIA), three community airports and 25 aerodromes. Driven by a commitment to safety and security, efficient and effective programing and progressive leadership, the Aviation Branch is a dedicated and professional team. As a critical member of the Branch senior leadership team, this position collaborates with branch program areas to oversee and manage all aspects of ENWIA operations, and leads short and long term planning for the airport. As the certificate holder for the ENWIA, the airport manager is a key point of contact with external stakeholders and is responsible for maintaining the airport’s certification. We are looking for a creative, collaborative manager who is looking for the opportunity to build a program area within a developing branch and organization. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.  Experience managing day to day operations of an organization/program area in a heavily regulated industry, preference given to experience in aviation Experience developing, implementing and continually evaluating programs and services Experience collaborating with external stakeholder groups and building partnerships Experience creating and establishing procedures, guidelines and communication chains within an organization with multiple program areas Experience managing and leading a complex operation in a dynamic and fast paced environment Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered. Please note Airport Administration experience is preferred.  Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability  Candidates will be assessed against Yukon government’s Core Competency Framework .
