Reporting to the Manager, Noise Management Office, this position is responsible for noise management office functions including responding to community concerns about Toronto Pearson operations using all modes of communication. The Senior Noise Management Officer will develop content for various materials and identify and research opportunities for enhancement to the Noise Management program and Action Plan.
Job Description Key Accountabilities:
- Track, analyze and respond to resident noise complaints in an efficient and professional manner
- Identify trends, and make recommendations for follow up on potential issues or opportunities
- Identify impacts of operational or procedural changes particularly as it relates to the community, with an eye to whether changes trigger the Airspace Change Consultation and Communications Protocol or the CARC process
- Research industry trends and best practices to make recommendations and draft business cases, including impact analysis, for future noise mitigation initiatives
- Lead responses to requests for information and advice to elected officials, community groups and the general public about operational impacts on communities
- Content development for corporate documents and reports, from board papers and dashboards, to annual report and Corporate Responsibility reporting
- Represent Noise Office at Environmental Management ISO 14001 meetings and recommends and manages Noise related targets
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of data collected by the Aircraft Noise and Operations Monitoring System (ANOMS)
Job Requirements Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Aviation Management; Business Management; Communications or Program Management would be an asset and/or equivalent education and work experience.
- Experience dealing with diverse communities, community groups, public complaint processes, community engagement programming.
- Experience in managing and implementing programs that yield positive reputational growth
- Experience in relationship management and dealing with multiple stakeholders and building compromise and collaborations among stakeholders.
- Provincial Driver’s License Ontario G or G2 Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
