The Coordinator, PSS is responsible for communicating via telephone, e-mail or SITA with airport managers, representatives and ground handling agencies all information on flight activity to ensure that airport personnel respect Air Transat policies and procedures in the handling of our passengers and aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating with Tour Operators all information necessary for our flights, such as passenger loads, baggage allowances, connections and communicating this information to the airports;
- Deals with Flight Kitchens and other suppliers to order meals and other special services;
- Responsible for informing and coordinating with other departments (Information and Seat Selection Center, the Airport Division, Tour Operators, etc.) and suppliers responsible for passenger services, all events that could affect normal operations (delays, change of aircraft type, etc.);
- Produce the passengers list and forward it to the airports;
- Coordinate passenger check-in;
- Follow up on Web registration; edit flights for some bases in Canada, USA etc.;
- Must be very knowledgeable in the daily operations of airport services;
- Good working knowledge of dangerous goods regulations, transportation of live animals and other similar services provided to our clients.
Requirements
- Three (3) years experience in the airline industry in airport activities (traffic and ramp operations);
- College diploma or equivalent;
- Bilingual (English and French), verbal and written (Spanish is an asset);
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- Resourceful and autonomous;
- Available for split shifts, especially weekends;
- Able to work under pressure at all times.
