The ground services coordinator is responsible for supporting global airport operations in harmony with the ground services team. The incumbent uses their extensive knowledge and problem solving skills to improve procedures and operational efficiency. In turn, they are responsible for developing, writing and communicating procedural changes and related training programs to airports and internal departments. The ability to multitask with ease is essential, as is the capacity to thrive and evolve in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the ongoing development of policies and procedures based on operational requirements and feedback from stations and management;
- Responsible for writing and communication of procedures to airports and operational departments;
- Supports global airport operations, including liaising with relevant departments, start up assistance and seasonal procedures (cruise, etc.);
- Oversees the Ground Services Extranet, encompassing user and content management;
- Creates effective training presentations and delivers training online/in person;
- Conducts research and benchmarking;
- Dangerous Goods coordinator for passenger handling, including reporting to Transport Canada;
- Responsible for ULD and towbar inventory;
- Provides support for Ground Safety program;
- Miscellaneous administrative and operational duties.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in relevant airline operations;
- Knowledge of ALTEA CM and/or other DCS an asset;
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English; knowledge of French or Spanish (strong asset);
- Detail-oriented, strong analytical and organizational skills; problem solver;
- Interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Management skills, able to meet tight timelines while multi-tasking;
- Available to work flexible hours;
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable security clearances.
The annual salary may vary between $ 50 391 and $ 62 989 according to experience.
